yellowstone season 5 episode 1 full

A little under a year removed from the Season Four finale of Yellowstone, fans are starting to get antsy about the upcoming season—what happens next. Slated to debut on November 13, the Kevin Costner-led series will return with a massive order of 14 episodes. The series (which amassed a staggering 15 million viewers for its most recent finale) will follow John, Beth, Rip, Jamie, and Kayce as they navigate a contentious gubernatorial election, a growing threat from outsiders, and one hell of a blackmail situation between two Dutton siblings.

The new season of Yellowstone follows Paramount’s ongoing expansion of Taylor Sheridan’s universe. 1883, Yellowstone prequel enjoyed a massive amount of eyeballs during its first (and only) season and two more shows from the creator are still in production. The franchise also recently announced 1923, a sequel to the 1883 prequel (yes, it’s…confusing). Just know that if you invest in Yellowstone, there are plenty of things to enjoy after you finish the primary series.

the story of series

Yellowstone is Paramount Network’s only original scripted series at the moment, but who needs another? The show was a ratings force—it was the #1 series of 2021 across broadcast. Cable, and featured, with an astounding 11 million viewers tuned in each week. Not surprisingly, Paramount quickly renewed the series for a fifth season and elevated guest stars Jane Landon (Teeter) and Katherine Kelly (Emily) to series regulars.

The modern western debuted in 2018 as a launch of sorts for the network’s rebranding (formerly known as Spike TV) and it’s clearly hit a cultural nerve. Set in Montana, the series follows the trials and tribulations of the Dutton family, who control the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States.

Now, if all this wasn’t enough? There’s finally a fitting trailer for Season 5, which stirs up the excitement of the beef that’s about to go down. In praise of John Dutton, the season premiere will be a “two hour special” as well. Watch the foreshadowing trailer below, then read on to find out everything we know about Season 5 of Yellowstone.

Yellowstone season 5 release date

Let’s turn to the chase: Sunday, November 13, Yellowstone is back! Later in the year, fans get used to it, but in exciting news. The show is expanding its typical 10-episode order to 14 episodes. And those episodes are set to be split into two seasons.

Split season aims to give the 1883 treatment to Sheridan’s upcoming series, The Tulsa King. Season 4 helped launch 1883, so the first half of Season 5 will help introduce the Sylvester Stallone-led drama. Then the second half is said to help launch the 1923 batch.

The trailer begins with John Dutton being sworn in as. Governor of Montana and agreeing to protect the state “from all enemies – foreign and domestic”. While the camera cuts off some of his biggest enemies in the crowd. Next is a montage of chaos and the “war” that immediately follows.
