In a surprise move, WWE fired NXT star Mandy Rose over her FanTime content.
Fightful reports that WWE has released the former NXT Women’s Champion for posting disturbing photos and videos that were against its contractual terms. The move comes after last night’s broadcast of NXT where Rose’s reign of 413 days as Women’s Champion ended at the hands of Roxanne Perez. According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, “WWE officials felt they were being put in a difficult position based on the content she was posting on her BrandArmy page. They felt it was outside the parameters of her WWE deal.”
The now former WWE star, whose real name is Amanda Rose Sakumano, began her career as a bodybuilder and competitor and won the title of World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Bikini Champion in 2014. Sakumano turned her attention to professional wrestling when she became a contestant on the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough in 2015 It was at the end of the season when Saccomanno renamed herself “Mandy Rose”, after which she lost to Alicia Fox in a test match, placing second in the all-around competition.
