Andor is the latest Star Wars show on Disney+, showing us the origins of the Rebel Alliance.  This show and Cassian are important to the Star Wars franchise, but for more than just what happens.  spoilers ahead. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Andor<\/strong> <\/em>is the newest <strong><em>star Wars<\/em><\/strong>    appear on <strong>Disney +<\/strong>, a very engaging and well-written show, focusing on the state of the galaxy several years after the Empire took over.  A twist appears <strong>insurgency<\/strong>with the flight <strong>Cassian Andor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But the critically acclaimed series is important for other reasons, too.  It brings politics back to the fore <em>star Wars<\/em> Storytelling and also bases some of its main ideas on the concepts in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/starwars.fandom.com\/wiki\/Star_Wars_Legends\"><em>star Wars<\/em> legends<\/a><\/strong>.  Neither of these two operations was done with the previous pressures <em>star Wars <\/em>projects, such as <strong><em>The Mandalorian<\/em><\/strong>    or <strong><em>Boba Fett book<\/em><\/strong>.  But what is the significance <em>Andor<\/em> in star wars?  Let&#8217;s dig deeper<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why is Andor so important?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Andor is an important character in <em>star Wars<\/em> Universe.  in <strong><em>Rogue One<\/em><\/strong>he and several other rebels flew to Scarif, where they managed to steal the plans for the <strong>Death Star<\/strong> and transfer them to the rebel fleet in orbit.  This is the first major victory for the Rebel Alliance against<strong> empire<\/strong>, and sets the conditions for further victories.  Unfortunately, Andor dies during the mission as the Death Star explodes on the Imperial base.<\/p>\n<p>Andor is a central figure in the Rebel Alliance, rising to the rank of captain in their intelligence network.  He also took on a codename <strong>fulcrum<\/strong>which he uses to recruit rebels into <strong>barrio strip<\/strong>.  It is often accompanied by its reprogramming <strong>Imperial droid K-2SO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Showcasing Andor is very important, as it helps show Andor&#8217;s character building as well as the Rebel Alliance.  Season 1 showed Andor evolving from a selfish nobody into someone who helps inspire hope and leads an uprising in an Imperial prison.  The <strong>the second season<\/strong> It will show the development of Rebel Alliance, as the show moves faster through the timeline so audiences can see the changes.  But without Cassian, the Rebel Alliance would not have succeeded.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Where is Andor located in the timeline?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Andor<\/em> It happens at a very important time <em>star Wars<\/em>.  The bulk of the first season is set five years ago<strong> <em>New hope<\/em> <\/strong>And the<em> Rogue One<\/em>And the <em>Andor<\/em> It shows the beginning of what would eventually become the Rebel Alliance.  The second season will explore the four remaining years, ending just before that <em>Rogue One.<\/em> <em>Andor<\/em> It is set fourteen years later <strong><em>Revenge of the Sith<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first season of<em> Andor <\/em>in the same year <strong><em>Star Wars: Rebels<\/em><\/strong>which is a file <em>star Wars<\/em> An animated show that explores things similar to <em>Andor<\/em>.  The first season of <em>rebels<\/em> It largely takes place on the planet Lothal, but in later seasons expands its scope. <em>Andor<\/em> Season 2 will also expand its scope and have the potential to crossover with it <em>rebels, <\/em>It will extend over the next four years.  The event that makes this the most likely<strong> Mon Mothma<\/strong> Escape from the Senate in 2 BBY, meeting with <em>rebels<\/em> crew, as she openly declares open rebellion against the Empire.<\/p>\n<p>There are two flashback sequences in Andor.  The first episode, which takes place in episodes 1, 2 and 3, features a younger Andor and takes place before the start of the series. <strong>Clone Wars<\/strong> On 22 BBY, but no exact year has been announced yet.  A second flashback sequence shows marching Imperial clone troopers <strong>Ricks Road in Ferrex<\/strong>.  This happens during the first year of <strong>Empire, in 19 BBY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>period between <em>Revenge of the Sith<\/em> And the<em> New hope<\/em> It&#8217;s well explored in both Canon and Legends, however <em>Andor<\/em> It proves that there is still a lot to learn.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the significance of Andor in Star Wars?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Andor<\/em> It shows us what the early Rebel Alliance looked like, and the kinds of tactics they used to avoid being destroyed by the Imperials.  It is important to <em>Andor<\/em> Giving them a darker edge, they are distrustful rather than lonely that they display in the original trilogy.  in <em>Rogue One<\/em>Andor says he did &#8220;terrible things on behalf of the rebellion&#8221;, and<em> Andor<\/em> Show us this.<\/p>\n<p>Another important thing <em>Andor<\/em> It shows the masses the gloom of the empire.  They&#8217;re both entitled and menacing on the show, with Episode 9 in particular feeling particularly oppressive.  This is more serious in dealing with the empire than in <em>rebels<\/em>, where they are often treated as a joke, making the audience forget that this is a dictatorial fascist government.  But <em>Andor<\/em> It makes the audience feel hopeless about the situation, which makes the final triumph all the more satisfying.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, another important part of <em>Andor<\/em> It is social and political commentary.  Politics is an essential part of the show, whether the audience is watching politicians&#8217; dinners at Mon Mothma&#8217;s apartment, or developing revolutionary ideology in the dirt.  The top-down and bottom-up perspective of Rebellion and Empire gives us a more rounded view of the conflict.  But <em>Andor<\/em> It also contains commentary on our world, offering a look into the damned mirror.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What does Andor depend on?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The<em> Andor<\/em> The series is a prequel to <em>Rogue One<\/em>It tells the story of how Cassian changes from a selfish and mean life to someone who becomes selfless and willing to sacrifice themselves for a greater cause.<\/p>\n<p><em>star Wars<\/em> Movies and TV shows often pull stories from Legends, like Grand Admiral Thrawn or the resurrection of Emperor Palpatine.  Andor is not based on anything directly and instead serves as a retelling of the formation of the Rebel Alliance.  In Legends, this story is told in the video game <strong><em>sheer power<\/em><\/strong>with <strong>Star killer<\/strong> Meeting <strong>Leia Organa, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma,<\/strong> And the <strong>Fine but the devil<\/strong> on me <strong>corelia<\/strong>to form the Rebel Alliance.<\/p>\n<p><em>Andor<\/em> changes this.  The series is not based on a direct story from Legends but makes references to several of them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preox-Morlana Company District<\/strong>filed in <strong>Episode 1 of <em>Andor<\/em><\/strong>-Recreates the concept of mythology.  In 1979 and 1980, three Han Solo prequel novels were published titled <strong><em>Han Solo at the End of Stars, Han Solo&#8217;s Revenge,<\/em><\/strong>    And the <em><strong>Han Solo and the Lost Legacy<\/strong>. <\/em>To avoid conflict with <em>New hope<\/em>the novels are set in <strong>joint sector<\/strong>, part of the galaxy run by corporations.  They are an important part of the prequels, though <strong>Separatists<\/strong> It contains many companies.<\/p>\n<p>In the third episode we see that<strong> Preox-Morlana Security Force<\/strong> Orbit-to-atmosphere transition in mobile tac-pods.  These bear a striking resemblance to <strong>LAAT\/i Republic Warplanes<\/strong>with a more imperial look.  in <strong>legends<\/strong>the empire replaces the republican warplanes with <a href=\"https:\/\/starwars.fandom.com\/wiki\/Imperial_Dropship_Transport\/Legends\"><strong>imperial<\/strong> <strong>transport dropship<\/strong><\/a>However, these did not appear in the canonical story.  It appears that the concept has been replaced by <a href=\"https:\/\/starwars.fandom.com\/wiki\/Imperial_transport\"><strong>Transfer of imperial troops<\/strong><\/a><strong>And the<\/strong> Seen in episode 8 but also in <strong><em>Obi-Wan Kenobi<\/em><\/strong>    And the <em>The Mandalorian<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading_title\">in Episode 4 <strong>Luthen Rael<\/strong> Gives Cassian A <strong>Crystal Keeper<\/strong> necklace and tells him that it is used to celebrate the uprising against <strong>Raktan raiders<\/strong>.  These types are part of the Old Republic era in Legends and are used to control an empire called the Infinite Empire.  This empire was overthrown long before the events of<strong> <em>Knights of the Old Republic<\/em> <\/strong>video games, where Revan and Malik find the remains of Rakata&#8217;s species.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading_title\">In the same conversation.  Andor reveals that he is the killer of V.I <strong>Battle of Mimban<\/strong>.  The planet was created to tell the legends of 1978<strong><em>    Eye of the Minds Splinter <\/em><\/strong>Where Luke and Leia are trying to find a Kyber crystal on this planet.  The planet was referenced in an early episode of <strong><em>Star Wars: The Clone Wars<\/em><\/strong>The Battle of Mimban took place in 2017 <strong><em>Solo: A Star Wars Story<\/em><\/strong>Where Han Solo fights on this planet.<\/p>\n<p>Mon Mothama&#8217;s daughter, Lieda Mothma, is introduced in Episode 5, and has appeared in several Legends projects.  It first appeared at the 1993 West End Games <strong><em>Dark Empire book<\/em><\/strong>also appeared in the 2002 reference book <strong><em>The new basic guide for characters <\/em><\/strong>and 2008 <strong><em>The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia Vol.  secondly<\/em><\/strong>.  Leda is the only person who has seen how much Moon&#8217;s service to the Rebel Alliance has affected her.  When Mon Mothma retired to Coruscant, Lieda went with her, and Mon Mothma stayed with her.<\/p>\n<p>Tunqstoid steel appears in episode 8 and is what the Narkina 5 prisons are made of. The metal is a great conductor and has its origins in mythology.  Appears in the 2009 novel <em>Jedi Fate: Abyss<\/em>It is part of Detention Center 81.<\/p>\n<p>The Cantwell-class Arrestor cruiser appears in Episode 11, and is based on designs by Colin Cantwell.  He pitched the idea to George Lucas to use on it <em>New hope<\/em>However, Lucas chose a different design for the Star Destroyer than the Imperial.  He did not appear in the stories of legends.
