program at Silver level status. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is the most basic level where every Macy Card holder begins.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The benefits received by the cardholder are directly related to the cardholder&#8217;s status level; <\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We&#8217;ll talk more about that below.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Macy also has an American Express version of their credit card issued by Citibank as well. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As you can see in the table above, cardholders can use this card anywhere Amex is accepted (versus only at Macy stores), and it comes with a lot of extra benefits.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">So why isn&#8217;t everyone getting an Amex card?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It&#8217;s not that easy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cont<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Potential applicants don&#8217;t get to choose which card they apply for &#8211;
