United Healthcare U Card In-Depth Review 2023\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KNwdeW-N5Zk\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-1\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is a $1.9 trillion coronavirus rescue package designed to facilitate the United States&#8217; recovery from the devastating economic and health impacts of the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Its nearly $2 trillion price tag makes this economic rescue legislation one of the most expensive in US history. It&#8217;s part of President Biden&#8217;s plan to build back better, which also includes the American Jobs plan and the American Families plan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The package includes a direct stimulus payment of $1,400, an unemployment compensation extension, continued eviction and foreclosure foreclosures, and an increase in the child tax credit while making it fully refundable. It provides money to state and local governments to help replace lost tax revenues, funds for K-8 schools to safely reopen amid the pandemic, and supports COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The American Rescue Plan was part of President Biden&#8217;s Build Back Better plan, a legislative agenda that included the American Jobs Plan and the American Family Plan. Neither Jobs nor the family plan has been approved by Congress, but parts of each made their way into the Inflation Reduction Act, which passed in August 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-11\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-heading mntl-sc-block-heading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-heading__text\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Understanding the American Rescue Plan<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-12\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the latest stimulus package to be considered by Congress during the COVID-19 pandemic, follows on the heels of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020 and nearly $900. One billion stimulus is included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, which passed in December 2020. The law expands some aspects of those bills while creating new recovery strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-14\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Direct financial payments<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The plan provides for direct stimulus payments of $1,400 to people who earn $75,000 or less annually, building on $600 payments in the second stimulus package to reach the $2,000 originally requested by President Donald Trump in December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Individuals with adjusted gross incomes (AGIs) of $75,000 or less &#8212; and couples with AGIs of $150,000 or less &#8212; get the full amount. So are each of their eligible dependents, regardless of age. Payments for individuals with AGIs over $75,000 will be reduced until they disappear completely at $80,000 ($160,000 for couples).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-21\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Extended unemployment benefits<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-22\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The American Rescue Plan extends Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits of $300 per week through Sept. 6, 2021, and increases the total number of weeks available from 50 to 79. Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) benefits of $300 are also extended through Sept. 6 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-24\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In addition, the first $10,200 in 2020 is tax deductible for families making $150,000 or less. People who had taxes withheld on unemployment benefits in 2020 will be able to get them back when they file their 2020 taxes or with an amended tax return if they have already filed taxes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-26\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The law also provides a subsidy of 100% of COBRA health insurance premiums so that unemployed workers can remain on their employers&#8217; healthcare plans through the end of September 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-28\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">remaining endowment; Increase financial assistance<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-29\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The current eviction and foreclosure moratorium, which expires March 31, 2021, will not be extended under the plan. However, the additional financing will provide relief to those who are behind on mortgages, rents, and utility bills. The legislation stipulates: 1<\/span><\/p>\n<ul id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-31\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">$21.55 billion in emergency rental assistance through September 30, 2027<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">$5 billion in emergency housing vouchers through September 30, 2030<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">$100 million to improve tribal housing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">$100 million for rural housing through September 30, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">$5 billion to help people experiencing homelessness<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-33\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Increase food aid | Health stimulus plan card for Free<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-34\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The legislation expands the 15% increase in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits through September 30, 2021, and provides $1.15 billion for SNAP administration through September 30, 2023, in addition to $1 billion for nutrition assistance programs in the United States. United States <\/span><span class=\"mntl-inline-citation mntl-dynamic-tooltip--trigger\" data-id=\"#citation-10\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">1<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-36\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It also allocates $490 million to the USDA to increase the amount of cash value vouchers under the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
