Rich the Kid, whose real name is Dimitri Leslie Roger, is an American rapper born on July 13, 1992, in Queens, New York City. He is of Haitian descent and grew up speaking Haitian Creole fluently.
After his parents’ divorce, Roger moved with his mother to College Park, Georgia, when he was 13 years old. He grew up listening to various hip-hop artists, including Nas, Jay-Z, 2Pac, the Notorious B.I.G., and 50 Cent, but later developed a taste for Southern hip-hop artists like T.I. and Jeezy.
