So, his boss called him for a reason, and it was to promote him to General Manager of his seven gas stations. He thanks him for the offer but says he has decided to leave and cannot take the job. Somen talks about how it is not his dream to run a gas station, and his goals have changed since he came. Instead of a gas station, Somen will open a backgammon club.

When Paul leaves, Soomen goes after him to offer him a job, and after negotiation, Soomen gives him 25% of the company.

Well the backgammon doesn’t work so they change the venue for disco dancing, well that wasn’t much either. Next, they tried women’s mud wrestling, which didn’t work either. Then it was the oyster eating contest. Finally, a little tired of what was happening, Dorothy leads them to a gay bar. As Soomen is about to leave, the performance begins, and he realizes that they might need to make it a women’s strip club. He gives Dorthy his stamp of approval, and the men go outside to find themselves some men.

Somen breaks the name, chippendales, Opening night was off to a strong start. The guys hit the ground running, things go amazing while the women just go crazy. The club starts to get more and more crowded as the days go by. Enters Nick De Noia (Murray Bartlett)who tries to come over, but Soomen turns him down until he tells him who he is and piques his interest.

Now, we go to lunch between Somen and Nick, where he gets a feel for who he is. Then, Soomin wants to know why he doesn’t like the show. Nick tells him he never does anything for free and wants to get paid for his services. So Nick says he likes a challenge and starts training the guys how to perform. Dorothy and Somen seem to be on the same page, but Paul doesn’t like the idea of Nick being around. Soon after, Paul gets angry and leaves with Dorothy.

Paul takes Dorothy to a fancy place to eat some food, and while they are there, he calls a manager Peter Bogdanovich He interrupts their meal to talk to Dothy. He asks her to join them for a few moments and offers to read part of a role. Paul is clearly upset about what just happened, hinting that the guy only asked her out because he wanted to “play around” with her. We see him loudly pounce on her in the restaurant, causing an uproar in front of everyone.

Paul bursts into the bar and explains his frustration with what just happened. Nick storms off and says he can’t work in such a hostile environment because Paul is loud and weird. Moments later, Nick sacks Paul, and tells Sumen to straighten him out so he can’t do it. However, Soomen stands by Nick, saying that he has given him complete authority in all creative matters. Of course, he snaps and walks away.

Welcome to Chippendales Season 1, Episode 1 ending

The first night started with Nick in charge at the pool. But, first, Dorothy comes up with the idea of making handcuffs and collars to track Somen’s obsession with Hugh Hefner. After that, the men took to the stage along with an enormous crowd of women. The choreography is a massive hit with the audiences which makes Somin very happy. Paul, upset, grabs Dorothy and leaves the scene. Soomin heads backstage to congratulate the guys and Nick for what they’ve done.

When Sumen gets home, he calls to leave a message for Paul about things to do the next day at the club. However, as he leaves the voicemail, we see the camera pan to his house with blood all over the place. It appears as though Paul shot and killed Dorothy and took his own life shortly thereafter. I’ll be honest, this was one of the best pilots I’ve seen in a long time. Well behaved and directed and has an ending that makes you want to come back for more.
