the story of anime
The manga tells of a group of oni demons occupying the land. But instead of taking the land by force, they give the people of the land a challenge. The choice is to challenge Ataru Moroboshi, a lazy and clumsy high school student from the Japanese city of Tombiki, to confront Princess Lume, daughter of the commander of the Oni army. Contrary to expectations, Ataru is interested in the challenge and is looking forward to meeting Princess Lume. And when the challenge began.
Ataru surprised everyone by flying over them, which made Ataru unable to catch her. However, Ataru’s mistress Shinobu Miyake supports Ataru and promises to marry him if he wins the challenge. On the last day, Ataru wins the challenge after managing to steal Bloom’s bikini, which leaves her unable to protect her horns. During the marriage ceremony, Ataru is able to get married. Lum then interrupts the celebration and Lum falls in love with Ataru. Although Ataru does not show his interest in Lum for fear of severing his relationship with Shinobu, Lum then tries every way to get Otaru’s attention.
When aliens known as the Oni threaten to invade Earth, they promise to leave under one condition – a randomly chosen human must win a one-on-one match against Lum, the beautiful daughter of the Oni leader. The “lucky” person chosen is lustful and unlucky high school student Ataru Moroboshi. After 10 days of trying to capture Lum’s pods, Ataru realizes how impossible the challenge will be as he is facing Lum’s extraterrestrial forces.

Motivated by a promise to marry his childhood friend Shinobu Miyake, Ataru manages to catch Bloom off guard. He accidentally grabbed her bikini top first, but in the end achieved his true purpose. The poor student constantly tries to shake off the clingy blame while doing his best to reconcile with his desired fiancée.
