stetson etzkorn’s life

In the quiet embrace of sleep, on the morning of Monday, September 4, 2023, Stetson Patrick Etzkorn, aged 3 months and 18 days, peacefully departed this world. Born to AJ & Taylor (Murphy) Etzkorn on May 17, 2023, in Lima, Stetson was a beloved addition to their family. He leaves behind his parents and adoring older sisters, Brynlee and Gentry, who reside in Wapakoneta.

Stetson’s memory is cherished by a host of loving family members. His maternal grandparents, Patrick & Angie Murphy of Elida, and paternal grandparents, Mike & Penny Etzkorn of Wapakoneta, held a special place in his heart. He is also remembered by his maternal aunt and cousin, Madison Murphy and her daughter, Kehlani, of Elida, as well as paternal uncles, Elijah & Jammison Etzkorn and Garrett Etzkorn, all hailing from Wapakoneta. Stetson’s great-grandparents, Sally Murphy, Don & Linda Lybarger, all of Elida, and an extended network of aunts, uncles, and cousins, held him dear.

Stetson’s boundless curiosity earned him the reputation of a nosy little explorer.

Always eager to know what unfolded around him, he welcomed conversation with a heartwarming smile, provided his tummy was content.

He found solace in the embrace of his sisters, who lovingly sang him lullabies like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and songs from Frozen.

Stetson relished golf cart rides and was pampered as the most cherished baby at Huggy Bear Campgrounds.

A true mama’s boy, he embraced a little cowboy’s attire – Wranglers, boots, and pearl-button shirts.

His impressive hat collection rivalled his dad’s and framed his captivating eyes. Father and son bonded over their shared love for farming, with Stetson poised to carry the legacy forward at Etzkorn Family Farms.

But above all, his greatest joy lay in watching tractor and farming videos with his dad.

In the spirit of generosity, Stetson’s legacy endures through the gift of organ donation.
