Glorious gifts!

Steam has launched four free games that you can download today (October 28), and two of them are well-received by the community.

These days, it’s especially important to save money whenever we can when it comes to our beloved pastime: playing video games. Because household bills are not the only ones to continually increase. Prices of games, consoles and subscription services are also increasing.

Speaking of subscription services, to be honest, services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass are still great ways to save money, as they can each provide access to tons of games to play in an instant, for a price that tends to be much cheaper than a single AAA video game.

However, when it comes to free games that we can play without any problems, it’s always a bonus, and the Steam store can be a great way to play such delights inexpensively.

As the “Free Steam Games” Twitter account reported to us, here are four titles you can download and play right now:

Gromopoli, Kilo

  • Slayer/Rush Artist: “The first installment in the Artist Slayer series. Through a VR headset, the player’s soul is transferred into SLASH, a special agent of the Slayer Forces, tasked with taking down, shooting and annihilating hordes of monsters unleashed on the surface.”
  • Vacubot: “A virus has corrupted a massive production robot, causing it to endlessly produce hostile machines. The player must directly infiltrate the danger zone, destroy the endlessly pouring robots, and take down the production robot, the source of chaos.”
  • Gromopolis: “Is an online board game. Buy properties, receive rent and avoid enemy properties to survive. Play with up to seven other players, in teams of two to four players and on boards of different sizes!
  • The appeal of Legacy: “Is a customizable, card-based, random-free wargame. Command warriors, beasts and mages onto the battlefield to outwit your opponent in this chess-inspired fantasy battle.”

The Steam community loves Gromopoli and Legacy’s Allure

“Fantastic game, great fun and exactly what you would expect. Impressive that it was made by one guy; everything is really smooth and works well. Looking forward to seeing more maps and skins in the future,” KaiserBlake said during the review Gromopoli.

“Even though I’m new to strategy games, The allure of inheritance won me over quickly. The gameplay is not based on luck; it’s all about how you strategically use your units against your opponent,” Christine wrote. “It constantly challenges me to anticipate and plan my moves carefully, which makes the game exciting and mentally stimulating. The more I play, the more fun it becomes, especially since each match can end differently.

Hopefully you will like at least one of the above.
