Bethesda has released the first post-launch update for Starfield, the massive sci-fi RPG that launched earlier this month to mostly positive reviews from critics. Starfield has been a huge success so far, breaking records for Bethesda and helping boost Xbox sales. Despite the general positivity surrounding Starfield, however, there is always room for improvement.
To get the latest version of the game, make sure you enable automatic updates for Starfield. You can do this by entering the Stam Library, right-clicking on the Starfield, and choosing Properties. Then go to the Updates tab and enable the option. Restart the Steam client if the update does not appear immediately.
Starfield 1.7.29 update makes stability improvements when installing the Xbox Series Additionally, bugs affecting three Starfield missions have been fixed in the new update. The quests that can be purchased with all that money, Into the Unknown, and Shadows in Neon should be much smoother experiences now for Starfield players.
Bethesda has several future updates planned for Starfield as well and has given fans a glimpse of what’s coming to the game along with patch notes for update 1.7.29. Future Starfield updates will add brightness and contrast controls, an HDR calibration menu, a FOV slider, Nvidia DLSS support for the PC version, 32:9 ultra-wide screen support for the PC version, and a button to eat instantly instead of having to eat right away. Store them in one’s inventory.
Those looking for more new Starfield content have a lot to look forward to as well. Bethesda has already confirmed that there will be at least two expansions for Starfield, the first one called Shattered Space. It’s worth noting that Starfield premium DLC won’t be available for free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, but anyone who opts to get the Premium Edition upgrade to get early access will get it.
