- Rafiq arrives with water trucks and smashes bottles in front of the protesters. He warns them not to deal with Khidr. They beat up a few locals to show they are serious.
- Carla asks Sunita to call Pandi and arrange a meeting at the mansion. Sunita refuses, saying that she loves Pandi and does not want to hurt him. Carla tries to talk her down, bringing Bandi’s manipulative ways to light. If he loves her, he will save her.
- Modena and Maurizio decide to sell the remaining drugs and run away with all the profits. This would annoy Mrs. Chu to no end, but they would be rich in scent in the short term.
- Lin goes to Khader to explain the situation with Rafeeq. Khadr talks about the war between him and Walid. They decide to meet Qasim to reach an agreement. Khadr will provide slum dwellers with electricity, plumbing, jobs and education until construction begins. Qasim accepts.
- Modena deceives Maurizio and flees with all the money.
- Abdullah and Khader’s friends help protect the locals from Rafeeq and his men. A fight breaks out over the water. Rafiq’s men are outnumbered and he flees, leaving the water behind. Lin celebrates this well-earned victory but is sad to leave Bombay.

Episode 9 is set to release on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 12 a.m. PT. Episode 9 is titled “Should I Stay or Should I Go” and will have a running time of 60 minutes.

- As the title of the next episode suggests, Lin has to make a big decision, will he leave Bombay or will he stay. If we were only on episode nine of twelve, my money would be hanging on him for a little longer. Kavita has yet to fully discover Lin’s deception and the authorities still arrive at his doorstep. Looks like Lin has more time left in Bombay.
- Khidr was victorious over Qasim and the people, and they would side with him over Walid. Walid tried to take revenge on Rafik’s ban on water, but they were defeated. He will have to formulate a new plan to defeat Khadr and his men. The slum dwellers will surely be caught in the middle of this war again.
- Lynn will try to win over Carla and they plan to run away together.
- Modena is going to run off with Lisa. They’ll book a plane ticket to leave, though Maurizio will be hot on their tail.
