The user claimed that she was playing the character Akira, the concierge of the Continental Hotel in Osaka, Japan. This sparked curiosity among fans who wondered how she landed the role and what her character’s relationship with John Wick would be.
Director’s disappointment:
Chad Stahelski, the director of John Wick: Chapter 4, expressed disappointment over the leak, as it violated the confidentiality agreement and required reshooting some scenes. However, he discovered Sawayama accidentally while browsing YouTube, and after being impressed by her music videos, offered her the role.
Sawayama’s reaction:
