The Law Society said: “The Law Society is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Councilor Richard Grogan. Richard was an outstanding advocate, both in proceedings and in the public arena.

In a tweet this morning, the Law Society said it was “deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Councilor Richard Grogan”.

“Richard was an indefatigable advocate, both in proceedings and in the public arena,” the Society said.

About Richard Grogan

Grogan became well-known among Irish social media users in recent years because he made regular TikTok videos advising people about the legality of their employment.

He usually ended his videos with the phrase “that’s the law, and that’s a fact”.

With more than 30 years of experience, Grogan specialized in employment law.
