Resident Evil Requiem is now available for pre-order ahead of release.

Just in time for spooky season, Resident Evil Requiem is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X|S (for those still playing it).

Is Resident Evil Requiem worth pre-ordering?

Well, if you asked me, I’d say it’s never worth it at first glance. Gone are the days when GameStop (now canceled for posting stuff about Trump) had lines for release parties. Pre-ordering is definitely not necessary – the games don’t sell out or anything.

However, there are some advantages if you still want to pre-order! First, you can often preload the game in advance so you can start playing. RIGHT when the game comes out. Second, Resident Evil Requiem pre-orders come with Grace’s “Apocalypse” costume as a nice bonus.

Where can you pre-order Resident Evil Requiem?

Choose your poison! Whether it’s an online retailer like Amazon or a physical store like Walmart, you can pre-order Resident Evil Requiem (or any game really. Having said that pre-ordering wasn’t worth it, I have to admit that I pre-ordered Kirby Air Riders because I’m a SIMP KIRBY, OK!?).

Regardless, you can also pre-order Resident Evil Requiem on Steam or the Epic Games Store if you want to cut out the middleman and go digital. You can also find it for pre-order on the Xbox and PlayStation stores.

Which versions can we pre-order?

When pre-orders were announced earlier today, we also learned that there would be two editions to choose from. This includes both Standard and Deluxe.

If you go for Deluxe, you’ll get the base game (the same one we get for Standard losers) and an exclusive pack including five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, two charms, and a partridge in a pear tree. Scrape the latter.

Want to spend even more on Resident Evil Requiem? If so, you’re in luck. There’s also a special Resident Evil-themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller available on launch day, as well as an amiibo (which I’m guessing will cost $1,000 at this point, because Nintendo can’t seem to stop raising its prices).

When is Resident Evil Requiem released?

Whether or not you pre-order Resident Evil Requiem, the game will be released on February 27, 2026.
