One Dollar Lawyer (Korean: 천원 짜리 변호사) is an ongoing South Korean television series starring Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun. The script of the film, written by Choi Su-jin and Choi Chang-hwan, won the grand prize in the 2015 SBS Screenplay Competition. It premiered on SBS TV on September 23, 2022, and airs every Friday and Saturday.
The story of the Korean One Dollar Lawyer series
Chun Ji-hoon (Namkoong Min) is a lawyer with an unusual style. He also has his hair has neat curls. He only charges 1,000 won (about $1) for his service, but he is one of the most skilled lawyers around the world. Then he fights the most expensive lawyers and their wealthy clients, who are trying to get away with breaking the law.
Baek Ma-ri (Kim Ji Eun) also works as an assistant prosecutor after graduating from the Institute of Judicial Research and Training. She is also self-confident and has high self-esteem. Her grandfather is Baek Hyun-Mu (Lee Deok-Hwa), who founded the famous Baek Law Firm and works in his law firm as a lawyer. Also, Baek Ma-Ri’s life was going smoothly, but her life changes after she meets Cheon Ji-Hun.
