Chubb remained on the ground for several minutes while his teammates stood around him and prayed.
He was taken off the field and it was later confirmed that he had suffered a season-ending injury.
“Obviously Nick had a pretty serious knee injury, which is how you feel about a guy,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said after the game.
He added: “He is a great footballer as we know, but he is an even better person. So we will support him every step along the way.”
The Browns went on to lose 26-22 to their rivals on Monday Night Football.
