A few months ago, Transport Minister Anthony Loke promised that for 2023, he’d work with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to roll out several digitalization initiatives within core services, including driver and vehicle licenses.
In this regard, Loke has announced that both the Transport Ministry and the JPJ will no longer require drivers to carry a physical copy of their driver’s license, nor will they need to carry around a duplicate of their tax.
Instead, Malaysian citizens with private cars can utilize either the JPJ Public Site or the MyJPJ mobile app to show a digital duplicate of their road tax under the eLKM area or their driver’s license under the eLMM area on the app.
The application is available on the Apple App Store, Google PlayStore, and Huawei AppGallery.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke after receiving feedback from the public regarding the problems encountered in relation to ‘roadtax’ stickers.
