Michael Irvin’s video from his hotel has caused controversy online. Reithmiller’s announcement stated the NFL Network does not condone his conduct and is not allowed to appear on their show during Super Bowl 2023.
In a statement sent to the Post, NFL Network spokesperson Alex Reithmiller confirmed Irvin’s absence from coverage.

He claimed he was questioned about his conduct when he arrived, to which the man replied that he was promptly straight into his hotel room.
Irvin added that he believed he spoke to someone at the front desk for approximately one minute before heading to his room. However, he did not mention having any contact with the person.
“And when I was off the air the following day], they told me “Come on, we have to transfer you to a new hotel.'” he said.

In the episode of “Shan and RJ” on Audacy’s 105.3 The Fan later in the day, Irvin stated why NFL Network executives informed him on Monday that he was required to move hotels. He claims he was asked about what he did that previous night and informed his bosses that he had come into his hotel and returned to the room. Then he was informed that there was footage of him talking to the woman before the incident.
Irvin claimed that he had just returned from drinking in the company of former Cowboys Safety Michael Brooks. He said he was unsure what was said in the brief exchange since he had consumed alcohol.
Irvin 56 has been associated with NFL Network since 2009. He was a former Dallas Cowboys star who also makes appearances on ESPN. Irvin is famous for his pleasant personality. His pleasant personality was evident during an on-air exuberance to show support for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts during the campaign ( video here).
