Riot Games has had scores of issues over the past ten years. Each more complex than the last. The League of Legends source code is controlled by hackers. Therefore it may now be facing the biggest challenge in its history, if not the biggest of all.
We obtained this information directly from the business, which addressed the circumstance in a tweet. In this, Riot Games claims that the hackers have the source code and that they have sent them a letter in which they are being threatened with being blackmailed either paying a “ransom” or having the code made public. The business has already stated that it has no plans to release any money in this area.
League of Legends source code hacked
Riot Games revealed last Friday that its development environment had been breached. Allowing threat actors to acquire the source code for the company’s Packman legacy anti-cheat technology, Team fight Tactics, and (LoL).
The business announced yesterday that it had received a ransom note from the threat actor but that it would not be paying one. This ransom note was discovered by Vice.com, and it requested $10 million to stop the release of the stolen material.

Selling The Source Code Of Riot Games
The attacker’s threat actor allegedly started selling the purported source code for League of Legends and the original Packman anti-cheat platform last night on a well-known hacker site.
The threat actor claims to be selling Packman and the League of Legends source code for at least $1 million. They did, however, tell BleepingComputer that they would sell Packman by itself for $50,000.

Riot Games has stated in relation to this attack that “no data or personal information of the players has been hacked,” . They do have the source code but not the data of the millions of LoL users that have established accounts.
The American business. However, is not going to be scared by the attack and will instead file a lawsuit against those involved. They even state that they are “already in active cooperation” with police enforcement to look into the attack and the gang.
