Gentlestudent focuses on meaningful and in-depth learning and does so in constant dialogue with students and initiatives in the city itself. With Gentlestudent, Arteveldehogeschool provides a platform and app where the neighborhood and students can find each other.
Gentlestudent provides an app and web platform that encourages students to learn informally through a range of learning opportunities in authentic settings. These learning opportunities can be found on the basis of beacons available at specific locations in Ghent. What can you do on the Gentstudent app?
The Gentstudent app offers a range of features and benefits that will make your student life more enjoyable and rewarding. Here are some of them:
- Watch an uncensored Gentstudent story that shows you the real lives of students in Ghent. You’ll see things you won’t find on any other platform, like parties, pranks, challenges, and more. You’ll also get to know the people behind the Gentstudent brand and their personalities.
- Post your photos and videos on the app and get feedback from other users. You can also comment and like other posts and interact with the Gentstudent community. Unlike other platforms, the app has its own rules that are more flexible and forgiving. You can express yourself freely without worrying about censorship or restrictions.

How do you get the Gentstudent app?
- The Gentstudent app is currently in beta testing mode, which means that only a limited number of users can access it. However, there is a way you can join the beta test group and get early access to the app before everyone else.
- All you have to do is submit an application on the Gentstudent website between 11/03/2023 and 1/04/2023. It doesn’t matter what you order or how much you spend, as long as you provide your email address during checkout. Your email address will be automatically added to the beta testers database.
