Echo 3 season 1 review – an underwhelming series that misses the mark

Echo 3 season 1 post review – An underwhelming series that misses the mark debuted first on Ready Steady Cut.

We’re going through the Apple TV + Echo 3 season 1 series, which contains no spoilers.

while we saw + Apple TV They dabble in all kinds of genres in the world of television, they dive into military-style series with echo 3. The story follows a husband and brother who hunt through Colombia to rescue their missing sister/wife. Is the series worth checking out? I am sharing my damage free review of the chain.

In the show’s first episode, we got a pretty good idea of what lies ahead for the series. First, you had our introduction to the relationship between the main couple and you had a lot of relationships with the other piece of the puzzle, the brother-in-law. Next, see Bambi and Prince (brother/brother-in-law) Chief is on a mission for the army, which causes a great commotion between the two. Finally, everything is different once everyone is back in town and settled down. But the relationship between Prince and Bambi changed at once amber He was kidnapped.

One of the things I give the writers a lot of credit for was their ability to keep you guessing. There were several pivotal moments early on about two of our characters that you wouldn’t expect. I thought it was a well-organized plan of action regarding these special moments. However, some of the other writing felt a little jarring and even somewhat redundant. I felt a connection with two of our three main characters (she didn’t reveal which), but the stranger never seemed right enough in depth to make me care. They fail to connect those dots.

The series was created/written by Mark Boalwho has a long history of successful writing in military films (Pain lockerAnd the Zero Dark Thirty). So it didn’t surprise me that this movie has incredible sequences within every element of military footage. From rescue missions to shootouts to the cities where the series was shot. Boal also did a great job along with the other directors, Claudia Llosa and Pablo Trapero, in making the footage so authentic and feeling so off-putting. The technical side of the series is top notch.

Luke Evans And the Michelle Huisman He did well in their respective roles as Bambi and the Prince, but Jessica Ann Collins Amber also stood out to me the most. Of course, her role has a bit of meatiness to it, being the one who’s captured and held captive, which makes for some really intense sequences in which she thrives. Plus, we learn specific things about Amber that make you appreciate certain scenes a little more because you understand why she’s the way she is (mysterious, I know).

Inclusive, echo 3 feels a bit like homeland, which isn’t a bad thing, but it doesn’t reach those heights. There are elements of the series that thrive and others that don’t. It really comes down to the writer’s lack of making me feel things about a certain character. Without that, this series might be a better move than it was in the end.
