Episode 1 of Clone High season 2 for a survey and I’m here to tell y’all about titbits I remembered. I suggest that you never watched the first season but the show is about who made clones of historical figures for a High School or something. The episode follows the characters from season 1 being dethawed from ice to be reintroduced to the world in 2023.

there is also some shit about a shadow government that has its eye on the school. Principal Scodworth then has the Society capture clones of everything that happened in the time they weren’t there, which is presented through a rapid-fire song where each lyric represents a fact about certain events. Some of these include Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk, how to rap rock is no longer popular, cryptocurrency and NFT, and some political nonsense.
To get to know each other they have a few things they run where everyone puts on each other’s shoes and walks the character “Abe” says old things like “spas” and “rednecks” and he’s the guy whose name I forget but he says he’s Christopher Columbus in disguise and tells him not to say Things like that because it will be canceled on Twitter.

Joan after being with two other characters (one of whom was recently Harriet Tubman?) becomes famous for acting all-out and ‘woke’.
As a comedy as it was, the episode was honestly painfully uninteresting, with only one joke in the nearly 30-minute runtime in which JFK and Joan said they would twist tongues while leaning on each other and starting to do literal tongue twisters. But even then, the joke wasn’t able to make me laugh.
Oh also there is a woman named Candace who is the new superintendent and she has a big ass and owns a ton of pet reptiles and wants to kill Scottworth. And he wants to have sex. Internet porn artists will go crazy a lot for lol.

I was really disappointed that they made the first episode of the new season about cancel culture. Hearing Abe say “All Lives Matter” and all of the vulgar, inconsiderate things he kept spouting off was so out of character for who he was in the first season. There were so many directions they could have taken and this one feels lazy and played out, which is the opposite of what s1 was like back then.
Animation is rigs. Looks fine. Christa isn’t playing Cleo anymore, maybe because she’s white and Cleo is Egyptian. Scudworth screams constantly instead of being funny.
Joan, JFK and Abe all felt out of character. Joan is suddenly actually into JFK now and JFK lost the douchebag energy. Cleo was barely in it. Gandhi is “still frozen.” No theme song in the leaked cut. Definite lack of nuance and sardonicism in the writing. Forte can’t really do the Abe voice right anymore. New characters are alright.
I hope the rest of the season is better but atm I wish it would have stayed cancelled.
For the people doubting this, I have seen the leaked episode. It’s animated with a lot of temp voices and yes it’s about cancel culture. It keeps the original spirit of the show but it’s just okay. If you’d like to see the episode I guess just reply to this and I’ll post the link
