Although owning Energy Aki worries that Denji is losing too much blood while making so little real progress. If he loses too much blood, the chainsaw’s attachments will retract, leaving him defenseless.

At the same time, Denji found himself surprised, as he dealt a heavy blow to his shoulder. The Eternity Demon is amused by Denji’s seemingly growing weakness over time, and begins pummeling him with successive attacks. Denji screams in agony as he realizes his chainsaw arms have retracted, a sign that he desperately needs blood. Needing a way to recover, he bites off and eats a large portion of the Eternal Demon’s body. Almost immediately, he is able to continue, plunging his chainsaw back into the devil’s flesh.

We flash back to a moment between Himeno and the unnamed blond classmate with a scar on the left side of his mouth. He tells Himeno, “The hunters who fear demons are the ones who have several screws loose,” a sentence we’ve heard before. Like Aki and most others Devil huntersits goal is to remove Devil’s gun Which is crazy and ambitious. However, her teacher reminds her that even demons fear things they don’t understand, including the brave and restless Demon Hunters. He warns her not to look after Aki, because he might find Gun Devil if he’s as serious as he seems, and they both know he’s very direct with this job.

During dinner, Himeno tries to encourage Aki to join the private sector with her, where they can live normal lives, not hunt the Gun Devil. He says that while he will continue to hang out with Himeno outside of work, he doesn’t care about privacy and never will. Himeno fears that Aki is too sweet and gentle to take on the Gun Devil, and that he will definitely die in the process.

In the present, the Demon of Eternity deals Denji with what he believes is the ending blow to the fight. Himeno pulls his string with his ghost arm, causing Denji to shoot again, as he suddenly comes up with an idea. If he continues to eat demon blood while fighting, he can transform into something like a perpetual motion machine and keep fighting for as long as he needs to. He goes into a frenzy of fighting and bloodshed while Himeno thinks to herself that she’s never met anyone as crazy as he is. She hopes that he is crazy enough to take down the Gun Devil.

Back in the hotel room, the wait takes its toll on the other members of Public Safety. Himeno informs Aki that three days ago he was stabbed. Finally, the Demon of Eternity offers his heart to Denji, requesting that he be killed because he can no longer bear the pain. Dingy cuts the heart in half, and we cut everyone who finally got out of the hotel, drenched in blood.

Outside, Denji comments on how good it feels, especially now that they got a piece of the Gun Devil. However, he died instantly after moments of blood loss.

After an undisclosed amount of time, Himeno talks to Aki about throwing a rookie welcome party, where Kobeni and Hirokazu talk about quitting after the way they behaved at the hotel. Aki agrees, but only if they do it this week so he can invite Makema before leaving town. Himeno asks Aki what Denji really thinks, as the Demon of Eternity clearly knows enough about him to be afraid of him. She also finds Makima’s interest in him to be unusual as well. She jokingly suggests that they got her drunk enough to talk about it.

Things seem to be going well for the rookie welcome party. Makema is delayed. Aki notes that Fushi did not bring his friend alone, but Fushi says that they are not as rational as authority in public. As he stares at the menu, Denji is reminded of the kiss Himeno promised to beat the demon, and says she will do it when she’s a little drunk.

The initiates walk around the table and introduce themselves. Kobeni reveals that she is only twenty years old, while Hirokazu reveals that he too has a contract with Devil Fox. When the time comes for Fushi’s apprentice to introduce himself, he admits that they died the day before on a mission. This obviously shakes Kobeni and Hirokazu.

Chainsaw Man season 1 episode 7 finale

Denji eagerly awaits his first kiss from Himeno. Makema appears, much to everyone’s surprise. I started asking Denji about the kiss he was getting. He lies and says he doesn’t kiss anyone, confusing the now drunk Himeno. Denji finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place, wanting to cash in on Himeno’s kiss, but also not wanting Makima to see it happen.

To temporarily save himself from this problem, Denji manages to change the topic to that of Gun Devil. Aki wonders why more Gun Devil shards have been appearing lately and what the connection is to Denji. Makima says she will only tell Aki if he can get her to drink. The group immediately begins ordering more beer and food, with neither Aki nor Himeno being able to drink more than their boss.

Himeno suddenly leaned in, pulled Denji in and started kissing him. She even contains her tongue, as promised, but Denji can’t help but lock Makima’s eyes as it happens. He manages to enjoy the kiss, at least until he realizes Himeno has vomited in his mouth. The others laugh at his plight, especially Bauer, who tells them that Denji will swallow almost anything. However, a flashback of his childhood with Pochita reveals that even Denji draws the line when vomiting.

In the bathroom, Hirokazu tries to help Denji throw up. He appreciates that he can do a lot for Denji, as he is jealous of his abilities. Denji finds it ironic that Hirokazu feels this way, considering his first kiss was just vomit in his mouth, which really helps show how much younger and inexperienced Denji compares to the rest of them.

As everyone prepares to leave, Makima wonders where Denji is, only to have someone inform her that Himeno carried him away on her back. After a while, Denji wakes up confused and looks for water. Himeno enters the room, straddles him, and moves the beer from her mouth to his. Both drunk, she seems completely confused why he is in her house the way he is. It sure feels like she was expecting someone else. She tells Denji that she knows he has feelings for Makima, and the same seems to be the case for Aki as well. She thinks he could do better, telling Dingy he should move on before she asks him if he wants to sleep with her.

This episode featured a little bit of everything, making it entertaining from start to finish. Seeing Denji take down the Eternal Demon was everything we had hoped for and more, as he seemed to learn more about his abilities. Each new episode only raises so many questions, especially about Denji and the Chainsaw Man. It’ll be interesting to see just what sets it apart.
