Battlefield 6’s Redsec battle-royale player counts are in – and it’s looking promising for the Warzone rival

Kworld Trend | Battlefield 6’s Redsec battle-royale player counts are in – and it’s looking promising for the Warzone rival ,

While we expected a surge of interest in Battlefield 6 with the first release of Season 1 content, we didn’t really expect the free battle royale mode, Battlefield 6 Redsec, to arrive at the same time until EA announced it a day before.

This isn’t the first time the publisher has released a Battle Royale (it worked quite well for Apex Legends), but based on Redsec’s early Steam player count numbers, it certainly seems to have worked well.

Battlefield Redsec is currently in sixth place on Steam among the best sellers, according to SteamDB, but there is no dedicated player count chart yet.

Yet its release saw Battlefield 6 soar to 549,766 over a 24-hour period. That’s still a long way from launch, but it’s the kind of big number a lot of shooters would like to have for a seasonal release, Battle Royale or not.

The game is currently number 2 for daily active users, first for top sellers, and number 7 for wishlists, suggesting that it’s off to a very good start.

As always, SteamDB data is just that: it’s Steam numbers. We don’t yet know how successful Battlefield 6 Redsec has been, say on EA’s own launcher, on PS5 or on Xbox Series S and

Expect EA to be very public about its numbers if it does well, but for now, consider it promising.
