Pakistani Senator Azam Khan Swati had a public meltdown during a press conference in Lahore on Saturday while talking about a video of intimate moments sent to his wife’s cell phone from an “unknown” number.

The emotional Swati said that the video showed intimate moments between him and his wife. After receiving the video, his family – including his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter – left Pakistan.
Swati said he was in Lahore around 9pm yesterday when he got a call from his wife in Islamabad who was hysterical.
He said he repeatedly asked his wife why she was screaming, but all he heard were screams and screams. Then his daughter took the phone and Swati asked her to inquire about it.
And he continued, before he collapsed, “She told me that her mother received a video clip from an unknown number and I was inside it.”

Azam Swati, who was detained by the FIA last month after a tweet criticizing the army chief, has previously accused state institutions of torture, including stripping him of his clothes and beating him in front of his granddaughters.
At his press conference on Saturday, Azam Swati broke into tears while talking about the video. The video, which was also shared on WhatsApp groups, shows a couple during intimate moments. He later moves on to a scene from a nightclub, with an obscene text saying “Owner of vulgar/immoral houses in Islamabad”.
Addressing the media, the senator from the movement said his wife called him on Friday night and kept screaming and crying. Swati said he then asked his daughter to ask her mother about the matter.
He added that when his daughter insisted, his wife revealed that someone had sent her a private video of him from an “unknown number”, but she refused to say anything else because “the country’s daughters and granddaughters are listening.”
Recounting the ordeal further, the senior PTI leader said his daughter then revealed that the video sent was him and his wife.
Swati further said that he explained to his daughter that her mother does not understand that he sleeps at 9pm and wakes up early in the morning to pray.
He added that his daughter kept crying on the other side of the phone and said, “Dad, this video isn’t for anyone else.. it’s for you and for my mom… I told her how this is possible.”
