- We see a flashback to Hollywood in 1958, where Beatrice (Diane) is shunned by the talent agency. However, she sees a magazine with a person full of glitz and glamour. Later, she came back with a new look and a new name.
- In the present day, Maximo tells us, Diane’s past is about to catch up with her.
- The resort hosts the first ever Hollywood wrap party. Diane wants to ensure everyone stays the night because it will be filled with people from her past.
- Everyone gets their assignments, but Hector doesn’t like his job. So it tricks Memo into swapping jobs.
- Chad recognizes someone at the party.
- Diane makes a big entrance at the party and no one notices.
- Maximo does his best to get close to the boss but also bring dirt on the paparazzi.
- Diane meets an old producer who fired her once. He talks about her and says that Hollywood loves a good comeback story and is offering her a lead role in an upcoming movie.
- Maximo brings dirt to the paparazzi, but he’s not good enough, he wants more.
- Diane is elated at getting the part and says yes.
- Back in her office, Diane tries to get into character, confusing Maximo. As she is leaving, she drops a picture on the floor. Maximo realizes that it is the dirt he needs. It was a picture of Chad with his real father.
- Maximo heads to meet Don Pablo, who is at a loss as to what to do with the information. In this mystery of his own, Don Pablo does not have the usual advice to give.
- While at the bar, Maximo realizes that Chad, an actress, knew she was lying about her age (from a previous conversation with Diane). So he uses that as his dirt to give to the paparazzi.
- Don Pablo informs Diane that the paparazzi are about to reveal this information. She rushes out and confronts him, saying not at her resort.
- Diane realizes that she is at home and does not need to play in this movie, so she tells the producer no.
- Back in her office, Don Pablo turns to his resignation.
- We gather with the current day’s note to finish the episode.
Acapulco Season 2, Episode 7 release date and time
Episode 7 is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 12 a.m. PT. Episode 7 is titled “Always Something There to Remind Me” and will have a 30-minute run.
