in 1983, Christmas story It was released and has become a Christmas staple in homes all over the world. Fast forward over thirty years later, and a sequel has come out Christmas story Christmas.
The movie begins with us seeing where life has taken Ralphie. He has a wife and two children and took a year off to try and write his novel. However, the struggle to find someone to publish his book was beginning to take its toll on him. We see message after message come in that rejected him. Ralph knows this is his chance to make things happen, or he’ll have to go back to finding a job and stop chasing that dream.
The Parker family is excited because it’s Christmas and the kids are ready to decorate. However, Ralph tells them not to decorate until their grandparents come to town. It’s an annual tradition that they don’t want to break. Sadly, we discover that Ralph’s father has passed away and uprooted the entire family, prompting them to return home to not only deal with his death but also try to save Christmas. While he’s at the dump, Ralphie’s mom reminds him that his dad doesn’t want him to be sad during the holidays. She wants him to capture the spirit of Christmas for her, her family and his father. Ralph is very nervous as he isn’t sure he can fill his father’s shoes and save his family’s Christmas.
Christmas Story The End of Christmas Explained

Ralph had told the children that no star was equal to Santa Claus and the children were upset. Well, Ralphie decided to go out on Christmas Eve to find the star. While he was walking around town, he saw a star above the tree inside Flicks. So, he decided to break into the bar and steal the star.
Nothing comes easy for Ralphie, but as soon as he manages to get in and retrieve the star, he rushes out the door. However, he is caught in the act as he exits the bar by a policeman. Soon enough, we find out that this is his arch-nemesis, Scott Farcus. Farcus put Ralphie in the back of the cop’s car, thinking he was the worst. But Farcus takes him home and says that when he was a kid, he learned a lesson from Ralph, and after all those years, he’s his own thing.
In the end, Ralphie manages to get the star, and Santa manages to come and bring gifts to the children for Christmas. On Christmas morning, the children rejoiced because all the gifts were under the tree. Then, Ralph went out to get the newspaper, and his wife shared what he had written about his father with the local paper. This leads to him getting a call from the newspaper, wanting to know if he has any more stories. So Ralphie not only filled his father’s shoes and saved Christmas, but he officially became a clerk.
