However, one day the bells were stolen from the museum causing the local sheriffs to make some investigations.

Explaining the End of a Christmas Mystery – Who Stole the Town’s Bells?

After the bells were gone, the local sheriffs tightened George Bottom, the museum’s security guard. Upon arriving at George’s house, they find a box in which the bells are stored inside the garage. Because of this, the cops catch George for stealing balls. George claimed innocence to his family, but his eldest son became upset because he had a history of theft.

George’s youngest son, Kenny, enlists Violet to help him find out who really did it. Because he did not believe that it was his father who took them. So Violet heads out on a mission to ensure that George gets home with his family for Christmas. But, no matter how many different ways I tried, it just stuck. Unfortunately, once her father realizes what she’s doing, he shuts her down for good.

But of course, like any kid, the moment she decides to throw in the towel, she notices something that gives her a clue that George might be innocent after all. After finding a pair of shoes in Deputy Terry’s bag inside his briefcase, Violet puts it at the forefront of her investigation. However, after her father last shuts her down, she and the family must take the investigation into their own hands. They start searching Terry’s house, where they don’t find the bells but do find a map that might help their cause.

At the end of the movie, Violet and her crew finally put the pieces together to find out that Terry was the man who took the bells. He took them and framed George for kicking him out while he was in school. Moreover, he wanted to be the one who found the bells so that his father would be proud of him and give him a job as mayor.

The kids come up with an elaborate plan to trap Deputy Terry. But, of course, the plan works because Terry didn’t realize the kids had as much information as they did about him. So not only do they catch Terry, but Violet manages to bring George home for Christmas and return the chimes to the museum.
