Archeage 2 release date

There is nothing quite like the pure immersion that comes with an MMORPG. Titles like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV have spawned incredibly strong player bases, many of whom still log in regularly to this day.

There is currently no exact release date for ArcheAge 2, but XL Games have said that fans can expect it to arrive sometime in 2024.

The game is clearly still early in development, but there are currently over 100 developers working to bring it to life.

When XL Games released ArcheAge back in 2013, it became an instant hit, gathering millions of players over the past decade or so. Now the developers have announced that a sequel, ArcheAge 2, is in development.

Publisher Kakao Games and developer XLGAMES announce open-world MMORPG ArcheAge II for console and PC. No specific consoles and release date have been announced.

ANNOUNCE TRAILER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER INTERVIEW

Jake Song, Executive Producer: “ArcheAge II is a seamless open-world action MMORPG and a sequel to the globally acclaimed ArcheAge. The game is being developed as a multiplatform game that you can enjoy on both PC and console.”

What are some of the key features you are focusing on in ArcheAge II?

The song: “Our primary focus is on action-packed combat as well as producing an immersive story. We aim for AAA-tier visuals with Unreal Engine 5 and aim to deliver a smooth, non-linear, progression-based open world experience.

About Archeage 2

An internal interview with Jake Song, the producer of ArcheAge and Lineage Games, revealed a ton of new information about the game, including combat, story, visuals and trading system. He went on to say that the development team is not only focusing on combat, but also aims to offer an immersive story, which players may not expect from an MMORPG at first. “Our primary focus is on action-packed combat and production for an immersive storyline. We aim for AAA-tier visuals with Unreal Engine 5,” said Song (via Gematsu).

Song also claimed that ArcheAge 2 will have a different story progression compared to the previous game as it will focus on personal adventures instead of following a narrative storyline. “The storyline will involve discovering and solving mysteries of an ancient civilization that has been forgotten for thousands of years, and will allow it to blend in with the natural environment.”

Are there opportunities in the lore or story?

Lyrics: “ArcheAge II shares the same lore as ArcheAge I, however, the story development is not the same. While ArcheAge I centers around a narrative story, ArcheAge II will focus more on personal adventures and personal stories. It has a similar timeline to ArcheAge I” It will depict the period when Aurora was first discovered and people began to settle there. The story will involve the discovery and solution of the mysteries of an ancient civilization. That have been forgotten for thousands of years, so they mix with the natural environment.”

Have game content you’d like to submit?

Song: “Many players enjoyed the trading of ArcheAge I, but the system has some flaws. In ArcheAge II, we intend to improve the trading system so that players can trade alone, in squads or in raids.

Another popular feature of ArcheAge I was the housing feature. We plan to improve it by adding more customizations, allowing players to live in cities with their friends. And even create their own cities with their guild members.

“We want to express our gratitude to the countless users from around the world who have supported ArcheAge. The development team is working hard to meet you again with ArcheAge II. We appreciate all the support. Thank you.”
