The people we hate at the wedding You must hate. Well, only Alice (Kristen Bell) And the Paul (Ben Platt) Two miserable children who are unhappy with their lives. Alice is having an affair with her boss, a man who owns a tech empire but is married with a baby at home. Paul goes out with a guy who doesn’t appreciate him at all and loves the English lottery. He blames his mother, Donna, for his failures, and his father for leaving them.

They are jealous of her father’s money, and she has not kept in touch. She hopes the wedding will be an opportunity to restore family ties. Of course, not everything goes as planned. A whole host of family secrets unravel. For example, Alice and Eloise used to be very close. Why is Alice angry at Eloise? She was angry at Eloise for not visiting her. Paul tells Eloise that she took it seriously because she had a miscarriage.

However, Eloise has a panic attack and disappears. Her fiancé finds her family trying to locate her, but they don’t until they realize her safe place is Taco Bell (you read that correctly). There, Alice and Eloise begin mending fences. In the end, Eloise apologizes for not visiting Alice but explains that she found out one day earlier that she could not have children. To make matters worse, she hasn’t told her fiancé yet. No matter, they shine and get another product placement, as Eloise orders another one from Gordita Crunch. Taco Bell is the number one choice for dazed women everywhere.

Explaining people we hate at the end of the wedding

The movie ends with the main players going on with their lives. After Janie, Donna tells her ex how she really feels (his attempt to stick around young women is an attempt to fill the void left by a good woman like Donna when he dumped her), she gains closure. The group takes a family photo. (You’ll note that Eloise’s father, Donna’s ex-husband, is not pictured.)

Eloise and her fiancé are still together, and we assume she told him her secret that she couldn’t have children. They’re holding an adorable, chubby-cheeked baby that looks like it’s been ripped from 80’s Cabbage Patch Store. Paul Platt is now single but has found respect and a new bond with his mother, Donna. Finally, Alice is now with Denise, and they take a family photo together.

The narrator then comments on how they never lived happily ever after because they would eventually be food for worms and adds another product placement by talking about Taco Bell.
