Optimum HealthCare provides its members with an Over-the-Counter (OTC) program that makes ordering non-prescription drugs and supplies quick and easy. The OTC program offers over 159 items that can help members save between $240 to $1500 annually.
Activate Your Optimum OTC Card
To start using the OTC program, members must first receive and activate their Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card. This can be done online through the MyBenefits portal and app or in person at a participating retail location. To activate the card, members can follow these simple steps:
- Visit optimum.nationsbenefits.com or call 833-878-0240 (TTY: 711)
- Enter the 16-digit card number and expiration date of their Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card
- Enter their 12-digit member ID, date of birth, and last name as provided during enrollment
- Click the Activate Card button

The OTC program offers members the following benefits:
- A quick and easy way to order OTC drugs and supplies at no cost
- A monthly allowance of $20 to $125 depending on the plan and county
- 19 different categories of products and supplies to choose from
Ordering Diabetic Supplies with OTC
Optimum HealthCare also allows its members to order diabetic supplies through the OTC program. An authorization or prescription from a physician may be required. To order diabetic supplies, members can follow these steps:
- Visit the Member Portal website or call 1-866-900-2688 (TTY: 711)
- Pay $0 for diabetic monitors, lancets, and test strips through the plan’s mail order program
- Receive supplies at no cost via mail delivery

To access the OTC and diabetic supplies system, members must be active and register through the Member Portal. This central destination offers information on health, benefits, providers, claims, and medication. Members can register or log in to the Member Portal to place online orders.
