The Golden Spoon (Korean: 금 수저; RR: Geumsujeo) is an ongoing South Korean television series directed by Song Hyun-wook and starring Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-Won, Jung Chae-yeon, and Yeonwoo. Taken from the manhwa Naver hit of the same name by HD3 that was published in 2016, the series depicts the life adventure of a child who has become an earning golden spoon. It premiered on MBC TV on September 23, 2022, and airs every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 KST. It will also be available to stream on Disney+ in select regions.
The story of the Korean series Golden Spoon
Lee Sung-Chun (Yook Sung-Jae) is a high school student. His family is poor and he hates living in a poor environment. One day, he happened to meet an old woman. As the old woman told him, “If you buy this golden spoon from me for $3, you can change your parents. You will eat 3 meals with this golden spoon with someone your age and in his house. That person’s parents will then become the parents.”
Then Lee Seung-Cheon buys the old lady’s golden spoon and eats 3 times at his friend Hwang Tae-Yong’s house. Hwang Tae Young’s father also runs a large company. Soon, Lee Seung-Cheon’s life changed.
