2026 will see Valley of Stars celebrate its tenth anniversary. Yet even after a decade, it seems like players are still discovering unique and useful tricks today.
Released the year Donald Trump was first elected president of the United States, Valley of Stars has established itself as one of the greatest farming simulation games of all time and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
Considering it was made by a single developer, this is an impressive feat to say the least.
With its tenth anniversary fast approaching, it remains to be seen what’s next for Valley of Stars especially since its developer, ConcernedApe, still regularly publishes updates for the game.
However, although it looks like a simple farming simulation at first glance, it is clear that Valley of Stars still has a lot to offer fans, with players still being presented with some unique features to date.
That’s what recently happened to a user on r/StardewValley who shared a very useful tip with other players after discovering it himself.

“Oh my God!!!” User ConspiracyParadox has started again on Reddit.
“I just realized that you can fill your water container using the kitchen sink at home!!! I’m on year six, counting 164 hours and only realizing it now.”
With me only using my house to pass out at the end of the day when I first played StardewI also missed this very important tap so it’s nice to see I’m not the only one.
We all missed it
Even though this user has only just discovered this handy little tip, other players were quick to reassure him in the comments.
“Don’t feel too bad, over 1200 hours and I had no idea either lol!” A user shared.
Another did the same, adding: “Almost 1,000 hours playing this game. Today I learned.”
With so many comments revealing that this was not a common piece of knowledge, it just goes to show how many more features are available in Valley of Stars could help us in the long term and which we still have no idea about.
So the next time you come across a life-saving hack, rest assured that you might not be the only one who missed it.
