The Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students was established in 1991 by Mr. Schoettler, a successful businessman from Mountain View, California, who was blind for the last eight years of his life.
Criteria:
- You must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 during the academic year.
- You must currently enroll in 6.1 units or more as an undergraduate or graduate student in any major.
- You must have a visual impairment and verify a medical health professional, which includes best-corrected visual acuity notations. (Please note that the disability must be such that it interferes with the educational process and requires accommodations, support services, or programs.)

Dale Schoettler Scholarship For Visually Impaired Students
The Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship is for visually impaired students; This scholarship was established in 1991 for students of San Francisco State and San Jose State University. After Mr. Schoettler died in 2001, CSU received a $4.8 million bequest from his estate to expand the existing financial aid program for legally blind students to all 23 CSU campuses.

Eligibility
- This award is open to all part-time undergraduate and graduate students in any major field. It must remain enrolled in 6.1 units or more during the academic year in which the award is received.
