“I know some people said some bad things about me joining OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is that mom is a warrior, and she doesn’t accept defeat,” Di Matteo told Fox News Digital.

The 51-year-old joined the subscription service known for its uncensored content last month. She announced the news on her Instagram with a nude photo and is charging $15 a month for her page.

“I thought, well, everyone is wearing their underwear and having sex on Instagram, and I’m not doing it, but I can do it and get paid for it.” Di Matteo added: “I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.”

“Things have changed in the last three years. My children have always been my first focus. If I had known that I could work out of my closet my whole life, I never would have believed it. … I know this may sound impulsive and it may sound a little lazy.” “But I’m a huge supporter of stay-at-home moms and women who really love raising their kids. I balanced it all, I did it all.”

“But I’m 51. I didn’t know that this was going to be life-changing, you know, all of a sudden during the time when I was supposed to be relaxing a little bit, I was going to have to switch careers and discover new things because my own industry thinks I’m, you know, barbaric. “

But why OnlyFans, and why now?

Addressing skeptics and naysayers, Di Matteo told Fox News Digital, “I know some people said some bad things about me after I joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is that my mom is a warrior, and she doesn’t take defeat.”

Her decision to join OnlyFans comes at a time when she has faced significant backlash in the industry over her stance on COVID-19 vaccine mandates. De Matteo has been vocal about her refusal to comply with these mandates and has been vocal about her opposition to X (formerly known as Twitter).

It’s not just celebrities, but everyday people too, who venture onto platforms like OnlyFans to express themselves, build their brand, or simply make a living. For many people over 40, the platform represents freedom, empowerment and financial independence.

“I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I didn’t follow the rules two years ago,” Di Matteo said. “So, I don’t want to be at the mercy of mandates or strikes or anything like that again.” He said.

The actress said her agent left her, and she “almost lost our house because of it.”

“It’s hard for people to believe that I wasn’t paid a lot for any of the jobs I did,” Di Matteo said. “People think I’m made of gold, and I’m not. I’ve worked from one job to the next. I’ve turned down many jobs in the past just to be with my kids because their dad is on the road, and he’s not around as much.”

But once she developed a clearer image, she seized the new opportunity, ignoring the haters along the way.

Moving forward

“I don’t care. I don’t care. I’d rather save my family than save face,” she said.

“Listen to the people. It’s not what you think it is. And to the people who think it’s impulsive, it’s exactly what you want it to be.”

The “Sons of Anarchy” star says her boyfriend, All Them Witches’ Robby Staebler, and her children from her relationship with  Shooter Jennings , support her work on the set.

“My kids were the ones who were like, ‘Do it.’ “[Di Matteo’s daughter] would edit the photos, too, because they wanted certain things we couldn’t do. I had a lot of money. And then, all of a sudden, I went from being allowed to work and never being allowed to work again. I was never the type to take jobs just to stay in work. I literally took jobs to feed my family.

“So, when people make nasty comments about why I do it, my response is, ‘Damn, I hope you’re never in the damn situation I’m in.’ “I take care of a whole family and a lot of other people who depend on me.”

She also revealed that her children read comments about her decision to join OnlyFans, which initially worried her.
