What is covered
1 Comprehensive comprehensive travel insurance is available for all ages and includes children up to 19 years of age on an adult plan – if the child is not working full time and traveling with you 100% of the time.
Personal liability is covered up to $5 million, while credit card fraud is also covered up to $5,000. While insurance covers canceling one’s plan if policyholders decide it’s not the best for them, there are cancellation clauses depending on your circumstances.
It also covers connecting flights if the layover is more than four hours and car rentals are over $5,000, which can be increased to $6,000, $7,000 or $8,000.

Does it cover me for COVID?
It depends. 1Cover COVID-19 All Inclusive Travel Plan includes in its medical expenses. However, it does not include flight or travel cancellations due to COVID-19.
As mentioned, connecting flights are only covered if the layover is more than four hours. This includes missed communications due to COVID-related delays.
What about pregnancy?
Pregnancy up to the 24th week is covered in case of carrying one child. For any more than one baby, pregnancy cover is until week 19.
What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?
There are 35 pre-existing medical conditions covered by 1Cover’s comprehensive travel insurance, according to the product disclosure statement. These include, but are not limited to, mental illness, heart disease, any type of cancer, chronic disease, and any physical or mental disability.
While covering these cases, a medical evaluation may be required along with other previous medical documentation of the case.

There are over 100 sports and activities covered on the all-in-one 1Cover travel plan. However, winter sports are only covered when winter sports coverage is added to the policy at an additional cost.
The Winter Sports Package must be credited at least 24 hours prior to participating in the winter sports activities, and policy holders must be 64 years of age or younger at the time the policy is issued.

Who should take this insurance?
1Cover Comprehensive Travel Insurance is an affordable, comprehensive plan with multiple options to add or increase coverage to suit the individual traveler. However, while unlimited medical expenses are ideal, there is a $1,000 dental limit – which can easily be exceeded if extensive treatment abroad is required.
All ages are covered, so anyone of any age can take out the policy (keeping in mind that there may be age restrictions for some add-ons, such as a winter sports plan). Travelers over the age of 80 will incur over $3,000 and are only covered for a maximum of six months.
I spoke with the Mayur today to update my policies and add new ones including for my daughters who have certain medical conditions. I’ve been booking with 1cover for as long as I can remember and have always found them to be the best rate. The Mayor today was very helpful and the patient was going through it all. He was very polite and spoke beautifully. I would personally engage with him going forward with any new travel cover. Well done, Mayor.

This is nonsense because we have traveled many times without any problems. This was a new injury.
